How Clean Water Changes the Day
What local water access can mean for the time, responsibilities, and daily life of a family and community.
A story worth hearing together
Bring the story of clean water to your church, company, school, civic club, or conference. Hear how it began, what the work looks like, and how your community can take part.
Meet Abraham Thomas
Abraham Thomas is the founder and president of Wisdom For Asia. In 2012, he began Breakthrough Water, now its flagship humanitarian program.
Growing up in Kerala, India, Abraham and his sisters crossed the road to draw water from a neighbor’s well. Her kindness stayed with him.
Years later, that memory returned as he saw families carrying water over long distances. The first Breakthrough Water well was completed in June 2012. The work has since grown to 220 wells in India and Sri Lanka.
Abraham welcomes invitations from churches, companies, schools, civic clubs, and community groups, and brings the story with a clear invitation to help bring clean water closer.

What local water access can mean for the time, responsibilities, and daily life of a family and community.
A neighbor’s generosity, a childhood memory, and the first well that gave Breakthrough Water its name.
Practical ways your church, company, or group can share the story and help sponsor a village well.
